Why Are There Only 4 Women in the Quote Top 100 Young Millionaires?
This week in NRC, our GP Janneke Niessen and Marianne Bruijn from Code-V shed light on why there are only four women in the Quote Top 100 Young Millionaires list.
They discuss the structural barriers women face in securing funding, the persistent investor biases that shape decisions, and the domino effect of even a single negative experience — how one "bad" case can unfairly impact all other women. They also highlight the fragmented, opaque funding landscape that remains difficult for many to navigate.
The bottom line? The system is far from equal. But there are solutions. It starts with awareness and data.
On June 13, Code-V has launched its first gender-lens data report to show exactly how much funding goes to female founders, and to map out systemic solutions to close these gaps.
We’re glad to see more media attention on the growth potential of female entrepreneurship.
