A vision for the Future of Entrepreneurship in the Netherlands 🇳🇱

On Prinsjesdag, our founding partner Eva de Mol shared her Alternative King’s Speech for Entrepreneurship in Het Financieele Dagblad (FD) - calling for a stronger, long-term vision for innovation, technology, and entrepreneurship in the Netherlands.

In her piece, Eva highlights what’s missing in current political discourse:

  • Talent: We need to invest far more in the next generation. Instead of lamenting passive digital consumption, let’s empower young people to build: through stronger STEM education and a bold European vision for tech.

  • Capital: The Netherlands saves plenty, yet invests little. While startups are launched, far too few scale up. To drive real progress, we must channel more capital toward innovation and growth.

  • Stability and Vision: Innovation thrives on clarity, not uncertainty. Policy should reward green investment, not penalize it. The Netherlands needs a long-term strategy that fuels entrepreneurship and sustainable growth.

Eva’s message is clear: if we want to shape the economy of the future, we need to act. With ambition, consistency, and courage.
