Industry & Innovation Debate in The Hague, opened by Eva

At the Industry & Innovation Debate, organised by FME, TNO and FNV, our GP Eva had the honour of opening the conversation alongside Bert Colijn, Chief Economist at ING.

Eva spoke about the key ingredients for innovative success: capital, talent, and stable regulation.

The main takeaway? The Netherlands is doing well, but we can do better.
Our economy remains strong, yet our innovation and investment climate is weakening. That poses a real threat to our earning power and strategic autonomy. A concern widely shared across the panel.

The challenges are clear:
⚡️ Insufficient innovation investments
⚡️ Congestion in energy, labour, and infrastructure
⚡️ Increasing regulatory pressure from both Brussels and The Hague
⚡️ Value creation and talent leaking abroad

The call to action for policymakers: define a clear, long-term vision for a sustainable and digital economy.
